I just did an interesting find for those of all who need their old printed photo's digitized:
www.scandigital.comRead the article on coolbusinessideas.com:
http://www.coolbusinessideas.com/archives/preserving_old_memories.htmlSounds to me very interesting, but I personally didn't use it (yet).

Another Shutterfly fan here. I've not been disappointed by an order yet, and I love that I have the option of adding a label/inscription to the back of the photo at the time of printing.

Kodakgallery.com has done well with my prints. I love having them mailed directly to my home.

Hi Sally, I've recently discovered your blog and its become a regular stop-off for me. I've collected photographs for years but my storage methods are deplorable. Your blog has inspired me to do as much as I can to ensure my collection survives me.

As for digital printing - I'm a UK resident so this might not be so helpful for you, but I've had some digital photographs printed by Photobox recently and the service and quality was terrific. I placed my order one afternoon and was surprised to receive the prints promptly by the next morning's post.

However, I included some scans of old family photographs and these came out rather 'muddy' and indistinct despite the large file sizes and minimal correction. This might well be my fault for poor scanning skills but its worth pointing out.

The colour prints from my own camera were crisp and vivid and I'm thrilled with them.

And I have no professional or personal connection to Photobox so you can consider this an impartial endorsement!
